The Second Sustainability Summit for south-east Europe and the Mediterranean - October 2018

The Sustainable Development Solutions Network of Greece, A Global Initiative for the United Nations has partnered with The Economist Events, the SDGs Centre for Governance and Public Law, jointly developed by the Cambridge University Institute for Sustainability Leadership and the European Public Law Organization, to organize the 2nd Sustainability Summit for South-East Europe and the Mediterranean, on October 1st - 2nd, 2018.

On behalf of the co-chairs of UN SDSN Greece, Professor Phoebe Koundouri said: «On the way to achieving sustainability by 2030, new partnerships are being pursued. As an organization by welcoming and co organizing the Second Summit for South East Europe and the Mediterranean, we want to underline the significant importance of sustainability practices in Mediterranean with the hope to lead our region to this new era of development. Thus, SDSN Greece join forces to highlight collaboration and best practices on the main focus areas for the country and the region, such as Green Shipping and Sustainable Marine Management, Sustainable Food-Water-Energy Nexus, - Sustainable Energy and Energy Security: Green/Blue Islands Initiative, Innovation for Climate Change, Education and Training in Sustainable Development ».

The second Sustainability Summit for South – East Europe and the Mediterranean will convene key thinkers, business leaders, policymakers, scientists, researchers, advocates and investors to gauge the scale of the task, and work out how best to lead and encourage co-operation on the path to progress.
