Asterios Filis is an undergraduate student in the Department of Economics and Sustainable Development at Harokopio University of Athens. Since 2018, he is active in the public of the University, representing the "Independent Student Organization" and since April 2019 he has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Harokopio University Students' Association. He has been an elected representative in the deanery of the School of Environmental Geography and Applied Economics since June 2019 and in the Senate of Harokopio University since September 2019.
In parallel with the obligations imposed by the Student Association, he develops parallel activity in social and environmental issues. He monitors domestic and international news and focuses on promoting the Agenda 2030 for the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. Recently, in August 2020, he was appointed Campus Coordinator of the Network for Sustainable Development (UN SDSN Youth).
Finally, he is the Project Development Director of WeFor, an NGO that aims to redefine the way a discussion unfolds in our country through interactive events, actions and seminars.
